Morecambe rock band to headline tribute concert for Hairy Bikers star

Massive Wagons will headline a Dave Myers Tribute Concert in June

Morecambe rockers, Massive Wagons, have been announced as the headline act at a concert in tribute to Barrow’s star of The Hairy Bikers, Dave Myers.

The event, at the home of Barrow Raiders RLFC, will honour Dave’s memory following his death in February.

Massive Wagons have had two top 10 albums in the UK charts and perform all over the world, as well as in local venues.

The band's recent release 'Triggered' reached number six and in its first week outsold/outstreamed albums by Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles and Foo Fighters.

On Saturday, June 8, as part of ‘Dave Day’ celebrations, up to 10,000 are expected to journey in convoy to Barrow from London.

A tribute concert will be held at the Northern Competitions Stadium at Craven Park, through the day and evening.

Dave, who was part of the motorcycle-riding cooking duo with Si King for more than 20 years, died from cancer in February at the age of 66.

The event will also feature sets from Blue Nation, Maiden Cumbria, The Silver Bars, Jordan Gaffney, God Damn Smile, The Dales, and Route 66.

All tickets are £10 with all surplus monies after costs going to Dave's chosen charities.

Due to the expected high demand, tickets are limited to four per order and can be purchased here
