Council teams go head-to-head to pull seven-and-a-half tonne truck in Lancaster

Lancaster City Council staff will be taking part in a truck pull on Sunday

Two teams of Lancaster City Council staff will go head-to-head in a truck pull for good causes.

The charity truck pull and family fun day will be held at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre in Lancaster this Sunday (April 21) from 1pm to 4pm.

Teams of five will look to pull a 7.5 tonne truck 25m in the fastest time - cheered on by colleagues, family and friends.

The teams will be from Lancaster City Council's Staff Wellbeing and Inclusion Group, supported by colleagues from a number of council departments.

Money will be raised for the Mayor of Lancaster's two chosen charities, Morecambe RNLI and St John's Hospice.

You are welcome to stop by the athletics track and cheer on the teams!
