Beyond Radio Celebrates 2nd Birthday

TWO years ago at 10.35am, a new local radio station for Lancaster and Morecambe launched on 103.5FM.

It took around 5 years to launch the station, with work starting in 2012 when a group of local people felt the district needed a radio service to reflect the diverse local area - a radio station that would do 'radio a different way'.

The idea of Beyond Radio was born.

Officially launching at 10.35am on the 30th July 2016, Beyond Radio became a new sound for Lancaster & Morecambe.

He's the sound or our launch jingle:

Since launch, Beyond Radio has supported in excess of 200 volunteers providing training and life skills, engaged with and featured countless community and local charities, and is a trusted source for local news, information and events.

So, a huge thank you to our listeners, our amazing volunteers and all of our commercial supporters - without whom, Beyond Radio simply couldn't exist.
