Beyond Radio to host regular live music nights in Lancaster

January 24, 2020
Beyond Radio is delighted to announce we will be joining forces with The Crypt Cocktail Lounge and Eaterie for a regular live music night in Lancaster showcasing some of the top musical talent from our region.
The Beyond Radio Live Lounge will begin on Friday, January 31 with Morecambe teenager Carlie Mai in session at the Lancaster city centre venue.
Carlie Mai, 16, who performed on the Beyond Radio stage at Morecambe Carnival and also at Morecambe Music Festival, is a talented singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist.
Nathan Hill, commercial director at Beyond Radio, said: "On an average walk into Lancaster city centre, it's not unusual to hear the streets alive with the sound of live musical performances.
"But one particular such performance made me stop and admire the sheer warm vocal tones of local singer and busker Carlie Mai - as on cold January afternoon her voice reverberated along Penny Street.
"The irresistible tone of her voice grabs your attention and makes even the busiest weekend city shopper admire her fascinating vocal talent.
"As soon as I heard her voice I knew she'd be a perfect fit for our first ever live broadcast from the Crypt Cocktail Bar on the 31st of January."
Jason Robinson, host of The Badly Timed Breakfast Show on Beyond Radio, will be your Master of Ceremonies on the night from 7pm.
Carlie Mai's performance will then be live on Beyond Radio on 103.5FM and 8pm and 10pm.
This will be the first in a regular series of Beyond Radio Live Lounge events at The Crypt.
