Bring your shopping to Morecambe gig for Foodbank

October 15, 2019

Fans of ska are encouraged to donate a bag of food at a special night of live music in Morecambe.

The Great British Food Bank Skank at The Exchange this Saturday (October 19) is one of a series of gigs aiming to stock up foodbanks all over the country.

Organisers are saying that admission to the event is one bag of shopping - although not compulsory.

Items needed for the local foodbanks include fruit juice, long life milk, sugar, instant mash, sponge puddings, pasta sauce, wrapped biscuits, coffee, soap and shower gel, toothbrushes and toothpaste, toilet roll, baby milk and feminine hygiene items.

Music will come from The Reggie Mental Band and the night is also the birthday party for local punk festival promoter Ivan Harrison.
