Coronation Street star to appear in Lancaster musical

February 17, 2020

Coronation Street star Nick Cochrane will star in a World War One musical written by legendary author Catherine Cookson at the Lancaster Grand this week.

The actor, who played Andy McDonald in the TV soap, will appear in the fast-moving drama The Cinder Path set in the rolling hills of Northumberland.

Cochrane, who plays Ginger Slater, is best known for his role as the brother of Steve McDonald in Corrie between 1989 and 1997.

The story of The Cinder Path centres around Charlie Macfell (James de Lauch Hay) who becomes an innocent witness to the murder of his cruel and sadistic landowner father.

Believing himself to be the only person aware that his childhood friend Arthur Benton is the killer, Charlie tries to set old injustices to right by protecting his friend from prosecution.

There are two shows this Friday (February 21) at 2pm and 7.30pm. Book at https://lancastergrand.co.uk/shows/catherine-cooksons-the-cinder-path/2020-02-21/
