January 06, 2020

Lancaster City kept the pressure on league leaders South Shields with a rampant win at home to Morpeth despite being down to 10 men.

The Dolly Blues put on a great display to win Saturday's BetVictor Northern Premier Division game 4-1 thanks to a hat trick from Paul Dawson and a goal from Charlie Bailey.

Sam Bailey was sent off for the home side in the 16th minute with the score at 0-0.

Lancaster are three points behind South Shields in second place in the league.

Their next league match is away at Grantham Town this Saturday (January 11).
