January 28, 2020

Four children were seriously injured in a car crash in Carnforth.

The children, two aged 11 and two aged 12, were hurt when the car they were travelling in collided with a tree at Pine Lake resort.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident on Saturday, January 18 at 11.20pm.

A police spokesman said the man who was driving the car - a Tesla - drove anti-clockwise around the outside of Pine Lake, past the reception on his left and on to a straight section of road, where he accelerated then failed to negotiate a left-hand bend, causing the car to veer on to a grass verge and collide with the tree.

The children were treated at Manchester Children’s Hospital but have since been discharged.
