Have your say on Lancaster Canal Quarter plans

January 07, 2020

You can have your say on plans to transform Lancaster's Canal Quarter at a series of public events starting this Thursday (January 9).

Previously known as the Canal Corridor North, the derelict 16-acre site - containing the old Mitchell's Brewery and car parks bounded to the east by Lancaster Canal - has been earmarked for a mixed-use development with housing, businesses, and arts and culture at its heart.

A series of consultation events - run by Lancaster City Council - will take place for people to have their say on what a site masterplan should include.

The public consultation runs until Monday February 10.

More details on the vision for the site can be found at http://www.lancaster.gov.uk/sites/canal-quarter

The public events where you can go along, look at the vision in more detail and have your say are as follows:

Thursday January 9 (Noon-4pm) - St Nicholas Arcades

Saturday January 11 (10.30am-1.30pm) St Nicholas Arcades

Wednesday January 15 (1pm-4pm) The Gregson Centre

Saturday January 18 (1pm-4pm) - Marketgate Shopping Centre

Tuesday January 21 (3pm-7pm) - The Storey
