Lancaster pub team's 2500km cycle challenge

October 15, 2019

Pub staff will be getting on their bikes in Lancaster for a very good cause.

The team at the Sun Hotel & Bar will climb onto exercise bikes at the Church Street pub amongst drinkers and diners, and cycle 2500km to raise money for Lancaster charity Neuro Dropin.

The distance is the equivalent of cycling from Lancaster to Moscow.

They will cycle from 9am to 9pm for a week, starting on Sunday, October 27.

Customers at The Sun wishing to put their own fitness to the test can do so by taking part in the team sprint competition in return for a small donation. To win, teams of three people will need to cycle as far as they can in 10 minutes.

Money raised through the challenge will be donated to Neuro Dropin, which provides support to anyone affected by a neurological condition, such as multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, cerebral palsy and Huntington's disease, amongst many others.

Anyone wishing to make a donation to Neuro Dropin can do so via their Just Giving page:
