Morecambe boxing star Tyson Fury will take part in a WWE wrestling match in Saudi Arabia.

The lineal world heavyweight champion, who lives in our area with wife Paris and their five children, will face Braun Strowman on October 31.

Fury's bout with the American wrestler will be part of WWE's Crown Jewel pay-per-view at the 68,000 capacity King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh.

Strowman, known as the Monster Among Men, stands 6ft8 and weighs a whopping 27-and-a-half stones.

The 6ft9 Fury is undefeated in 30 fights and is the former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

The unusual boxer-wrestler match was confirmed at a press conference in Las Vegas on Friday.

Fury, a lifelong WWE fan, made international headlines when he brawled with Strowman on WWE's weekly TV show Monday Night Raw earlier this week.

His most recent boxing victory came on September 14 when he outpointed Sweden's Otto Wallin despite suffering a terrible cut over his eye.
