Morecambe's new boss makes first signing

Morecambe have made their first signing under new manager Derek Adams.

Toumani Diagouraga, who played for the Shrimps boss at Plymouth Argyle, has joined the Globe Arena club until the end of the season,

The midfielder, 32, was a trainee at top French club Paris St-Germain and has also played for Watford, Leeds United, Brentford, Hereford United, Swindon Town and Rotherham United.

Adams said: “Toumani was with me at Plymouth Argyle and did ever so well for me when he was there. He came into the midfield and used the ball well.

“He has got good experience at the level and it was only a couple of years ago that he was Brentford's player of the year and he will be a good addition to the squad.''

Morecambe FC are currently second bottom of League Two following a 1-0 defeat to Bradford on New Year's Day.
