School Aid 20 hands out cash to schools

February 28, 2020

During February the folk of Lancaster and Morecambe came together to host two nights of live music in aid of local schools. The aim was to raise as much money as possible for our local schools whilst enjoying some local music and performances.

School Aid which is fronted by Jay Blackburn and Mark Simpson was sponsored by Beyond Radio is an annual fundraising event and relies upon the generosity of local musicians, performers and venues along with the members of the public who attend the event.

Lancaster’s night was hosted at the Bobbin on Cable Street and Morecambe’s night was hosted by The Exchange on Regent Road and between the two venues raised a total over £5000 which will be split between 4 local school, each school recieving a £1315 share of the cash.
